About the Author
I don't like writing, much. If I had not felt overwhelmingly compelled to relate the story, there would be no Yesterday and Today. Would that have been unfortunate? You tell me.
In all honesty, I'd rather be creating music, or traveling, or working on some kind of interesting project. But sometimes the story is too consuming, sometimes it will not rest until it is told, and so here we are.
And...well, let's leave it at that, for now.
You see, Yesterday and Today, for which this website was created, is not a product of interests or hobbies. It was born of the deep themes, of examining those universal realities which demand full respect.
The book is meant to stand alone, to act perhaps as a statement, perhaps a question, perhaps a mirror; NOT as a simple window into the relatively unremarkable life of its author. This last it may very well be, but to picture a "guy that does ____ and enjoys ____" at the same time as one considers the meaning of the book is to introduce a decidedly confounding image.
Thus, I would like to give you every opportunity to consider Yesterday and Today apart from the person that is its author - or rather, apart from the necessarily partial and superficial exposition that would traditionally be contained here.
Instead, I invite you to meet me in the forum, where in the course of real conversation we can much more adequately understand and get to know the other - both in and apart from the context of the novella.
Or, send in a comment if you want to leave a brief message.
Or, send an email to author@lonelysong.com for any reason at all.
